Our Pastor

Dr. Murl Gwynn has been our pastor since August 13th 1983. He and his wife Ruth and their three children, Dana, Tonya, and Nathan (all married) came from Dallas, Texas where Murl was the "Recording Director" for Evangel Bible Translators.

Murl spent 14 years in the U.S. Army, as a Sergeant First Class, before departing and becoming involved with Evangel Bible Translators, in Dallas. He eventually retired from the Georgia National Guard. While in the army, he was an Elder in the military chapel at Leighton Barracks, Wurzburg, Germany, under Pastor/Chaplain Curry Vaughn.

In Texas, Murl was the interim pastor of the "Masters Church" in Desoto, Texas for over a year. It was in Texas that Murl and Ruth started the mission ministry of "Harvest of Life", a recording ministry putting the bible unto cassette tape in foreign languages. Harvest of Life is now a Christian literature printing ministry and Prison Ministry under the leadership of Dan & Marilyn Nase and Pastor Gwynn is it's President.

He has been a minister of the gospel of our Lord for over thirty years, He has been pastoring the same church for over twenty eight years, He is a student of the Hebrew and Christian scripture, and has taught about world events, social changes, international and national upheavals, and religious and spiritual inroads that effect Christianity in general. He has traveled to over thirty countries, taught in the underground churches, and observed the cultures of those countries with their social, moral, political and spiritual makeup. He is a Christian theologian with a heart for God through His Son, Jesus. He is a student of the world, a child of God, and a student of scripture.

Pastor Gwynn is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International, Inc..

He is on the board of directors for Voice of Grace substance abuse ministry in Vidalia, Georgia.

Pastor Gwynn is the State Chaplain for the Patriot Guard Riders of Georgia.

He has written a book about his life and the struggles people go through to be accepted. You may check out his book by following this link. "Anything For Acceptance". Also, Pastor Gwynn has finished his latest book "The President Was A Good Man".

Pastor Gwynn has an earned Doctor of Theology from Newburgh Theological Seminary.

The Gwynn's have eight grandchildren.

Pastor Gwynn's Teaching Ministry

Dr. Gwynn conducts camp meetings, holds teach seminars, preaches revivals and trains people for leadership. His teachings have been used in many foreign countries as well as many churches in the USA.
